Noises Off, Garrick Theatre - ★★★★★ - Until January 4, 2020

The joy of farce is watching it all go wrong for others. It offers us the comforting illusion that we have more control over our own lives. Our laughter is cathartic as we sit back and watch the situations complicate and the characters flounder. But to get that floundering right requires a wonderful cast with exquisite timing. This homecoming production of Michael Frayne's classic is perfectly played chaos. The ensemble of actors work together brilliantly and director, Jeremy Herrin, must have choreographed the mania with a metronome. It seems unfair to single out anyone in the ensemble cast but Lloyd Owen, Meera Syal and Daniel Rigby were amazing! This is a must-see revival of one of our favourite farces of all time.
