Kinky Boots, Adelphi Theatre - ★★★ - Until January 12, 2019

Winner of the Olivier Award for Best Musical 2016 and based on 2005 film, “Kinky Boots” is inspired by true events and provides a novel way to succeed in business when it is all rather trying. Songs by Cyndi Lauper capture the mood of the piece and the book by Harvey Fierstein is fast paced and entertaining. The main characters seem a little thin and the show really belongs to the drag queen, Lola. She revitalizes the factory and brings the musical to life.
