The Lion King, Lyceum Theatre - ★★★ - Until May 30, 2020

Even if you’ve seen the movie a hundred times (not an overestimate for anyone who has kids), it is still worthwhile taking in the theatrical performance. For children, it is a wonderful introduction to the world of live theatre, and come on parents, the music is very listenable. Elton John at his best. Julie Taymor’s award-winning direction stands the test of time, and the costumes and choreography still amaze and delight. Simba’s journey on stage is well worth checking out.
