Queen's Park Day ★★★★ FREE

A family-oriented event with a dog show, sheep race and cycling, plus the cake, cupcake and vegetable carving competitions etc. This is a traditional autumn fair. Spread over the park there are fair rides, a climbing wall and donkey rides. Local amateur groups provide entertainment on the bandstand and community stage with displays by dance groups, choirs and the martial arts academy. Booths by local volunteer and public service agencies are present and there are lots of opportunities to enjoy baked goods and to purchase crafts. The event is well organized by the Queen’s Park Day Team and strongly supported by local merchants.
