Hidden River Festival ★★★★ FREE

This is a lovely little event in a unique part of London. The restored wetlands surrounded by tower block buildings are really an oasis in the city. The festival provides an opportunity to explore the wetlands with events like “Moth Identification”, “Wetland Adventure Trail” and “Bird Walk” among others. There are also stages providing lots of live entertainment. Plenty of activities for the children and interesting presentations by community groups, including the Redmond Community Centre. And, of course, there is a variety of food and drink. We noticed a stand that was serving duck in a number of forms ... an interesting change of menu. A lovely afternoon.
