The Woman in Black, Fortune Theatre - ★ - Until March 27, 2021

Running for ten years, “The Woman in Black” is becoming a pillar of the West End like “The Mousetrap”.  Unfortunately, where the latter has achieved a kind of timeless quality, this work and its production seem dated. Compared to modern examples of the psychological drama, “The Woman in Black” comes across as rather creaky and predictable. Still, audiences continue to go and the show seems to be achieving a cult status. Each to their own.
